Meditation And Nervous System Healing For The Mind That Can’t Find A Quiet Place
Calm Was Created for People Who Struggle to Switch Off
A lot of individuals who suffer from insomnia are those women who cannot remain quiet in silence or are constantly on edge regarding the next challenge they will face. They usually have tried every form of meditation available (e.g., downloaded meditation apps and done guided meditations, etc.); all of which had some positive effects, but then reoccurred after the meditation was completed. This was why Calm was developed. What Is Calm?
Calm consists of a structured way to regulate your body’s nervous system, as well as to use therapeutic breathwork and meditation that fit within traditional yogic breathing styles (known as pranayama. This method builds on traditional yogic breathing patterns along with our understanding of how our autonomic nervous systems work today. When our bodies have been in a stress-response state for long enough, and our minds have been running on high alert for too long, we cannot naturally achieve a state of deep relaxation when we close our eyes; therefore, we must retrain our nervous systems back into a relaxed state by working with them slowly and consistently through the program called Calm.Who Is the Calm Program For?
The program helps those who want to cope with chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, poor sleep/insomnia, difficulties managing emotions (such as dysregulation), and mental fatigue caused by prolonged periods of your mind being in an active alert state. To achieve this, we have developed structured breathwork practices, delivered in a way that allows people around the world (the UK, India, and anywhere else) to participate. The Calm Program Includes
- Breathwork sequences that have been tailored to your individual patterns of sleep and stress.
- Pranayama therapy based on both traditional yogic science and recent advances in modern-day respiratory physiology.
- Yoga Nidra — a form of deep rest which has been found, after being clinically studied, to help decrease cortisol levels and improve the quality of sleep.
- Somatic awareness techniques will allow you to notice how you can release physical tension that may have been held consciously and/or unconsciously.
No Previous Meditation Experience Required
If you're new to meditation, you do not need to have previous experience; however, it will require you to commit to doing it consistently, understanding that resting is not by chance, but is something your body must learn how to do. BOOK A FREE DISCOVERY CALLFAQs
Q1: What is Calm at YogicByNature? The Calm program is based on a variety of techniques, including breathwork, meditation, yoga nidra or deep restful sleep, and somatic awareness practices. It is designed specifically for people dealing with chronic stress, anxiety, burnout, and poor sleep. The program is led by experienced practitioners, available online to clients in the UK, India, and worldwide. Q2: How is therapeutic meditation at YBN different from other apps? Other apps provide the same guided audio for all users, with no regard for the individual user's nervous system state or history of stress and no understanding of the disorder being treated. Therapeutic meditation at YBN requires the therapist to understand the history, pattern, and triggering factors that have caused the dysregulation, as well as how long those factors have been present. Therapeutic meditation is then developed based on these details and continually modified as the individual progresses through their sessions. Q3: Is there a way to treat insomnia and other sleep issues with the Calm program? Yes. Insufficient sleep is one of the major areas covered by the Calm program. Yoga nidra has been demonstrated to impact sleep patterns and cortisol levels. Calm's breathwork practises can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing the body to fall into and maintain a profound sleep cycle. Most users will experience significant benefits after 4 to 6 weeks of regular practice.Course Info
