Yoga for Healing Chronic Pain and Injury Rehabilitation
The Restore Program at YogicByNature is designed specifically for your unique body condition
All women experiencing chronic pain have experienced that one particular morning. The moment you wake up, and your body begins to move, it gives you an indication of how you will feel for the next 12 hours. It's that hip that dictates what shoes you wear. That lower back that means you need to plan your time at work around a phone meeting. That pain in your pelvis that has existed since before your last delivery is still there. Literally, Restore is crafted for that exact moment.Your Body, Your History, Your Recovery
Your body is not treated using a standard rehabilitation protocol that was designed for a person with a completely different body and a completely different history. Instead, your body will be treated according to how it is right now, in this moment, with the pain that it is currently carrying…and according to how long it has been carrying it. The Restore Program uses yoga therapy to treat women's chronic pain and support injury recovery for women between the ages of 25 and 55. The majority of the conditions that our team works with are those that most standard yoga sessions do not help heal. These consist of the following:- Back or neck pain that has returned since physical therapy ended
- Unexplained pelvic pain
- Fibromyalgia or other chronic pain conditions
- Endometriosis-related pain
- Pain related to hormonal imbalance
- Post-childbirth joint pain
- Movement limitations that remain after an injury, despite the tissues having healed
- Caesarean scar pain
Why Restore Is Different?
Restore's sessions are one-to-one and delivered online, with a comprehensive intake assessment before you begin. You will work with your practitioner to map out your pain history, identify compensation patterns, and develop a program that works with your body rather than against it. This is not a set of few classes delivered over a fixed period with a predetermined outcome. Instead, the program progresses at your body's pace, adapts as your body changes, and remains unique to you, no matter where you are located in the UK, India, or anywhere else in the world. Q1. What is the difference between physiotherapy and Restore?
Restore focuses on how an injury impacts you physically, whereas physiotherapy often focuses on the area of injury. Injured people can suffer long-term effects because of the way they have reorganised their body due to pain. Pain causes people to change their posture, the way they move, and the way they use their muscles. Physiotherapy does not always address the full impact of that reorganisation. Restore supports an injured woman's physical body, using tools such as breathwork, helping her cope with it better.Q2. Does the Restore Program Address Pain Without a Diagnosis?
Yes, this is a common reason why women seek assistance from us. Women present with complaints of pain that cannot be fully identified or explained through current investigations and may not have a clear diagnosis.Q3: I suffered an injury a long time ago and haven’t been able to get back to normal. Do I have any hope?
Yes. The ability of the body to heal is not limited to the immediate period after an injury. Usually, when there is no full recovery, the body develops a compensatory pattern and “stays” in it due to insufficient interruption. Restore focuses on working with and addressing those habits. Many women have reported that using yoga, particularly developed to target their old injury, has had more positive results than general exercise over the years.Course Info
